Dogs allowed in Las Vegas

Did you know that dogs are allowed in Las Vegas?

Las Vegas is one of the most popular vacation destinations in the country. It’s an attraction for business conventions, gambling, entertainment, and in recent years, even kid’s activities. So it is no surprise that now dogs are allowed in Las Vegas for dog owners wishing to bring along their pet for the adventure.

Pet-friendly hotel casinos in the city include Caesars Palace, Harrahs, Paris, Planet Hollywood, Flamingo, Rio and Bally’s. There are also Petsmart Pet Hotels, a Camp Bow Wow and other kennels within the city. The pet-friendly hotels can sometimes also find you a pet-sitter.

The city has banned dogs from the Strip sidewalk from 12pm until 5am so if you want to show your dog the sites it’s best to do it in the morning. Sites you can visit with your dog include the Old Las Vegas Mormon Fort and the Historic Spring Mountain Ranch. If you plan on going shopping you can visit the Green Valley Ranch in Henderson. This high end shopping centre also has a number of dog-friendly stores and restaurants with outdoor areas. The Town Square in Las Vegas is dog-friendly and there are many dog-friendly restaurants in the city.

During the summer temperatures can reach beyond 110 degrees which is too hot for pets in vegas to enjoy the outdoors. For that reason it is, again, best to head out with your dog in the early morning.

Dogs in Casinos

Some hotels are very pet-friendly but they will not allow the pets to actually enter the casino area. Dogs must stay within the designated areas with only service dogs being the exception to the rules that casinos generally have regarding pets. Service dogs are allowed in every area of the hotel or casino because they’re legally allowed to. If you can’t bear to part with your pooch you can always play casino games online. Casinos Jungle can guide you to the best online casino sites.

If you do have a service pet the staff shouldn’t ask you for any documents, certificates, proof, or really any details regarding your pet as it is your legal right. It is important that your pet is clearly marked as a service or emotional support pet however to avoid any issues. To avoid any problems simply ensure your service pet is wearing the standard vests or harnesses.

If your dog isn’t a service pet but you want to bring them along on the trip anyway, Las Vegas is an extremely pet-friendly city. There are many major hotels that allow dogs. Obviously you’ll want to read the fine print on the hotel’s website first though.

Most hotels will promote their pet-friendly policies directly on their website. With a bit of research you’ll be able to easily access this information.

They will have a list of the rules about pets which are generally similar between all the hotels.
